This module serves as an exciting launchpad into the world of Artificial Intelligence. It's designed to bridge the gap between introductory Python knowledge and AI applications. We'll dive into AI fundamentals, explore how Python is used in AI, and introduce key libraries like TensorFlow and PyTorch. Engaging, hands-on activities will help students understand AI concepts, data structures, and algorithm basics. This module sets a solid foundation, empowering students with the tools they need for more complex AI challenges.
Here, students will plunge into the vital world of data. This module focuses on sourcing, analyzing, and manipulating datasets, the lifeblood of AI. We'll explore various types of data, from structured to unstructured and learn techniques for data cleaning, visualization, and preparation. Students will engage with real-world datasets, discovering how to uncover hidden patterns and insights. They’ll also learn about data ethics and privacy, preparing them to handle data responsibly in their AI endeavours.
Embark on an adventure through the realm of machine learning algorithms! This module demystifies complex algorithms, from linear regression to neural networks. Students will learn how these algorithms work, when to use them, and how to fine-tune their parameters for optimal performance. Through interactive examples and projects, they'll gain hands-on experience, building and training their own models. This is where theory meets practice, and students transform into budding machine learning practitioners.
In this exciting module, students will apply their skills to a real-world problem presented by a corporate partner. They'll experience the thrill of tackling a live project, and working in teams to develop AI solutions for actual business challenges. This is a unique opportunity to interact with industry professionals, receive feedback, and see the impact of AI in the corporate world. Students will refine their collaboration, problem-solving, and technical skills, making a tangible difference in a real-world scenario.
As we approach the frontier of AI, it's crucial to address the ethical implications. This module focuses on the societal impacts of AI, discussing topics like fairness, accountability, transparency, and privacy. Students will explore case studies, engage in debates, and learn to develop AI with a conscience. They’ll understand the importance of ethical considerations in AI development and how to implement these principles in their work, ensuring they become not just skilled AI practitioners, but responsible ones too.
The grand finale of our program is all about innovation and impact. Yes! Our program will cover topics such as networking, how to search for an find internships and how to connect with those who may be interested in having an intern. Our instructors are also available to discuss internship strategies in our 1:1 meetings.
At the end of the program, participants will receive a digital credential from NextGen EDU that is verifiable on the blockchain. This credential can be displayed on the participant's LinkedIn and passed along as proof of program completion to potential internships and future jobs.
Disco is a learning management system created specifically for running synchronous cohort-based courses. It is better than any we could have dreamed up and acts as an aid for our students and instructors in the learning process. Disco also helps with registration and payments which is why after being accepted you will be navigated to a Disco page where you can sign up for the program.
Learning about AI may not be for everyone. We want those who enroll to be excited to come to sessions and continue learning. If a student is no longer interested in the program we will first conduct a review to see where the problem stems from and what can be done to help improve the student’s experience in the program. If this is unfruitful we will then provide a 75% refund of tuition prorated for the number of sessions remaining in the program.
